Tale of Two Cities

I’ve always been a fan of Dickens. In Great Expectations, I am still haunted by the story of a woman who never recovered from being jilted at the altar and how she passed her pain on to other generations. A Tale of Two Cities also made an impression on me, the dichotomy between two places, so much so, I incorporated the theme into my own book. I relate to the idea of two contradicting realities, chaotic Paris and stable London. As I press forward with my writing and marketing it, I face two sides of me, the troubadour who marches on, and the cave dweller who hates the limelight. It’s a constant battle for me. I’m on automatic now. I’m going to see what my books can do and live with the doubt at the same time. It’s a tale of two ME’s.
