Trash Collector

Daily writing prompt
What could you let go of, for the sake of harmony?

My creative spirit weaves throughout my day. Often I act on it and sit down to write or go to my easel and paint. I see creative potential in many things. I see a pile of wood and imagine a sculpture. When I re-furbished my backyard deck, I didn’t see the left over wood as scrap to dump, but as resources. I made a bunch of benches. The problem is, I see potential in everything, and put things aside for future projects. I’m a trash collector. Leftover shipping fillers, sheets of cardboard, Styrofoam inserts, and all sorts of junk are fair game. My brother-in-law swore to never help me move again when he learned that some of what he was hauling was bags of garbage. Unfortunately, time is the big limiting factor and my “stuff” piles up to the point I have to purge to make room. Note: I am not a hoarder. I just finished a purge, so I have room to make art out of what I have left. I better get going before my collection gets too big again.
