Yard Work

One of the downsides to an early Spring is the quicker arrival of yard work. My wife wants me to convert much of our wildflower beds to grass, because I can’t keep up with the work anymore. Yet, the conversion is also an effort. I’m leaning towards having it professionally done. When I see landscapers out there toiling under the sun, lifting heavy things, getting dirty and sweating profusely, I wonder where to they get their energy. I’ve been taking care of yards since I was a boy. My father did zero yard work, but we had a nice yard because of me. Now, that I’m devoted to my writing, the yardwork is a drudgery that I avoid. I’ll be perusing through the yellow pages this weekend.
