I work from home and have mostly been a homebody. I can be social and my wife tells me I NEED to get out more, because I drive her crazy, almost hovering over her when she gets home because I finally have someone to talk with. Being a homebody is good for my writing, but not necessarily good for finding a publisher. Nonetheless, keeping to myself is comfortable. A homelife challenges my blog writing because I often don’t have much to say about my quiet daily life. That’s why a I write about my cats. I also blog about memories, but those are limited too. I could blog about what I see on television, but it’s usually news, which is usually negative. I am not interesting in writing blogs that depresses my readers or depresses me. But writing about my quiet life is like writing about paint drying on the wall. I wonder how many monks blog–oh well. I am not a monk. My son is getting married this weekend, so I expect I will have a few topics to write about. Because there, I won’t hide under the table, I will mingle with the guests. And, I’m giving a toast. I wrote it out a month ago, so I’m ready. For one night, I will have a less quiet life.
