Quiet Day

Somedays, I can’t think of anything to write about. Of course, there is nothing saying I have to write on my blog everyday. But it was a goal I had, partly to keep me in my writing space, a way to combat writer’s block. Ironically, my goal creates its own pressure, which leads back to writer’s block. And I run out of topics, partly, because as a writer I stay home often where nothing changes. I could write about politics and there is always something people are blabbing about on television that I could weigh in on. Notably, this is an election year. When I started my blog, I decided to stay positive. So, that rules out politics. Unfortunately, the politics of today worries me and clogs my mind–and a clogged mind leads to writer’s block. But, I’d rather write about the ice on my driveway than write about politics. I have other ways to clear my head of politics-based anxiety. It’s funny–writing about nothing to say takes a paragraph.
