In most accounts a traveler hits a fork in the road once. For me, I have faced many decision points (many forks). Sometimes when I’m not crazy about certain aspects of my present life, I am tempted to rethink the choices I have made and wish I made different ones. But I cannot know if I made different choices, whether the good things would still be there, specifically my wife and kids. My life is more like a spreading web of branches than one fork in the road, but I’m still here, with a good family and doing work I enjoy. I wonder if I will meet another fork … or two.
