A lot has changed in the last year. I’m a published Indie author now. It was a life long dream to put my work into book form. I am thankful to my wife for encouraging me the whole way. For years the question was: could I produce a book? It seemed daunting. But now I have published two of a series of three and the question now is: how do I market the books? There’s always a new hurtle to overcome, but finishing the book was a major accomplishment that boosts my confidence. Approaching commercial publishers with other works in my inventory is another hurtle, but overcoming other hurtles gives me the confidence to try it. I was discouraged as a kid to do anything creative. Ultimately, I may only be an Indie author, but the sense of accomplishment is powerful. I have faced my ancestral ghosts and declared who I am. It has been a good year.
