It’s going to be just three of us for Thanksgiving this year. My family is scattered all over or has other in-laws to visit. When I was a kid, we had 9 to 12 people, which made the day seem like a big deal. In the early days, when I visited my wife’s family, there were thirty people or more. It was too much chaos for my wife, but I liked the big crowds. I like family gatherings, because I like company. Holidays are about family. Even though we are a small group this year, the day will remain special because the memories of past holidays are always close to my heart.
