Crossroads

When I look back on key decisions in my life, many of them came down to instinct, a feel for the best path. Sometimes I regretted my decisions, leaving a good job to finish law school. But looking back I realize my instincts guided me well. My legal education helped me become a better writer and my legal work helped me get out of my shell. When my kids were young I was in a job that became a problem. I decided to leave and stay home with the kids. It was a joint decision with my wife, but my instincts told me that I was making a good decision. As adults our kids have told us many times that they are so happy that I was home. So my instincts seem to do well for me. My instincts tell me to continue writing and put out more books. I’m crossing my fingers that my track record on instinct remains good.
