I remember my first computer that my wife and I purchased. It was a Gateway (long gone). I was so excited. Opening the box was an adventure. Personal computers were still a new thing. At the time I was taking a course to teach me how to be a Microsoft engineer. My teacher said I could dual install Windows NT (old, I know) on my Windows 95 Gateway. When I did, the computer crashed and would not work. I later found out my teacher didn’t know what he was talking about, that NT and 95 were incompatible. I spent hours on the phone with tech support to no avail. Finally on another device, I emailed a smart technician who gave me a straight forward procedure for restoring my original computer system. Since then I worked in IT and learned to make my own images and restore computers at will. I came a long way, but the first computer was the most fun (after it worked).
