Old Question

Daily writing prompt
You have three magic genie wishes, what are you asking for?

I’ve pondered the question of three wishes many times, partly because it comes up in movies and television fairly often. In fact, I just saw an old episode of the TV show “Bewitched,” where Darren forgets he has wishes and his third wish puts him back in the shower with his clothes on: ha-ha. But that would be me. I wouldn’t use the wishes right away because I couldn’t decide what to use them on. First, I would be wary whether the wishes came from a good or bad gin. I would waive my wishes if they were given by a bad gin like the one in the Wishmaster movies, because there was always a evil twist to the outcome of those wishes. If I knew I had a good gin granting me wishes, then I would want to be altruistic, but also contend with a streak of greed: world peace, end of pollution and a million dollars? It would be too greedy to ask for more. Generally, I don’t have to many big wants, so I would go the altruistic route, full Monty: the end of war, the end of poverty, the end of hunger. I’m an idealist at heart.
