I am most proud of my kids. They’re grown up now. We’ve had many ups and downs, mostly up. I was worried about what kind of father I would be because I had a crazy upbringing. I know I wasn’t perfect but I did okay. They’re good kids and doing well in their careers. My son and I go fishing; we discuss politics. My daughter and I talk about art; we argue about politics and economics. Sometimes I think of them as little and still needing my protection. They whole-heartedly remind me that they can take care of themselves. Someday I will be a grandfather and have little ones I can dote again.
