One of my favorite memories as a kid is sitting in my bed and reading a book, with the window open so I can feel the summer breeze and hear the crickets and other critters chirping and buzzing. It puts me in a peaceful mood. With the bustle of daily living, I have gotten out of the habit of reading and have let the unread books pile up. It nagged at me that I didn’t allow time for reading. This year I have made an effort to read more and have doubled what I usually read in a year. Next step, retire early with a good book, with the window open and feeling the breeze, at least until winter sets in.
