I’m one of those people who needs coffee to get my going in the morning. But what really gets me going is creative inspiration. When a good story excites my imagination, I get plenty of creative energy. I’m a big movie buff and always looking for a movie that makes me think or inspires me. Unfortunately, I have been striking out lately, movies that start out good, proposing interesting problems, but everything falling apart in the last 20 minutes. I end up disgusted that I wasted my time watching it. Sometimes I go back to classics where the imagination of the film never disappoints. I’m a fan of Forbidden Planet (1956). The grand images of a mega self-perpetuating machine gets my own creative energy soaring. Watching good movies is probably better than loading up on caffeine.
