I often avoid taking risks or dreaming big because I feel success is impossible. This would be a good word to eradicate from my vocabulary because whether explicit or implicit, I tell myself all the things I can’t do. I’ve achieved many things because I believed the results were possible. I remember the story of the apple computer when Steve Jobs wanted his people to design a user interface. The story is that maybe of them thought it was impossible, but Jobs wouldn’t hear it, and pushed them to think of the challenge in new ways. The rest is history and the modern interface is standard fare. I’m not going to be inventing a computer, but the story has always stuck with me. Once, I thought having my own book was impossible, but now I’ve done it. Who knows what will happen when I drop the word impossible from my vocabulary.
