Ironically, in my book, I create a futuristic city, albeit an alien one. That city has a symmetrical design and a rail system that gets people anywhere they want to go. City affairs are managed by a board of regents, that are appointed by their region, not elected. There are no politics in my city. There is no currency. Everyone has a place to live and a role in the society. One downside, they only eat processed food and have very little music. My real city of the future would have a good compliment of restaurants and live music everywhere. My book city is in the middle of a desolate and barren plain, worse than a desert. My real city would have a healthy and diverse natural world around it. It’s fun to imagine.
