Writing opens me to an expanse, a timeless and vast landscape. I travel in time, writing about my own past or venturing into realms of long ago. I can also go into the future. It’s being like Sponge Bob and Patrick in the box where from the outside, their imaginations came true. The first draft is my favorite, because then I live in the story and watch it unfold like I am any other viewer.
