I have goals, things I want to accomplish, but making a plan is the hard part. It seems rote and dry. It’s my artistic side that can’t sit down and write out a plan. When I get the inspiration, I just start creating. The act of creating is all the fun. This approach spills into the rest of my life. Planning is a buzz kill. I’m not advocating against planning, I saying I struggle with it. I wish I did more objective planning, outlining a course of action and following through, step by step. I usually move towards my goals with only a subjective plan in my head, but a ton of anxiety comes with it and I know I’m not that efficient at it. My first published book was started twenty years ago before it was complete. I am also a list maker, but for now I mostly wing it.
