I grew up loving the cold weather. My family had a retail sports shop and were big skiers. Some of my best memories are going on winter trips with my aunt and uncle. When my kids were old enough, we had loads of fun in the snow. I would make huge snow slides or forts. It was fun making things that impressed them. Neighborhood cars would line up to see what I made. But when my kids were grown up and didn’t play in the snow, the thrill was gone. Being in the cold made my hands ache and my teeth (of all things) hurt for hours. I don’t like the cold anymore. But thanks to global warming, winters aren’t as bad.
