When my kids were young, I was a stay-at-home Dad. My work space was home. Now that they’re grown up, I still work at home. When I worked in an office, the distinctions were still blurry, except when I was at the office, I only worked … like a dog. When I was at home, I brought work with me and home life was crowded out. Since I stayed home with the kids, home life has been much better even though I switch between the two all day. I would not be so bold as to claim I balance anything, but what I do now is working. Work on my writing-pick some weeds-work on my writing-fix the dishwasher-work on my writing-help my daughter sort out her career choices-work on my writing-take a nap.
