If I was honest with myself, I would say I’m a leader. But I like to say I’m a follower, a place to hide and get by. I’ve done well at both. I’m a team player and don’t mind doing my part for the group under the guidance of a leader. Yet, I always end up near the leader being part of the leadership decisions. I usually start out a follower because I prefer the anonymity, but my abilities and insights always lead me to leadership. I am not boisterous or loud or bold or demonstrative. I am usually the man behind the scenes, behind the curtain. I am a leader who has not made peace with my nature.
