Losing weight is hard. I know I have to. I tell myself this is the year I’m dropping the extra weight. My doctor said I could get off some of my medications if I lost the weight. But old habits are hard to break. I love sweets and ice cream. It’s ironic, when I was a kid a was full of advice for my parents on how to lose weight. They were always on crazy diets, some of which made them sick. I suggested they get exercise, walk around the block, enjoy the beautiful neighborhood. I told them it was easy. They didn’t listen. Now, I procrastinate on taking walks. My own words haunt me. Sometimes full circle is pay back.
