One of the things I like about elections is that the political ads stop. Or it used to be that way. Now, there’s always something going on TV, someone telling us to be afraid or angry. Act now! Vote this way or that! Save the world! It’s too bad most politicians don’t have a sense of humor. Thank God, that commercial advertisers do. I might not buy automobile insurance based on a TV ad, but I love the commercials. What if a politician cast his or her opponent as a Neanderthal? That would be something to see.
