What is your favorite holiday? Why is it your favorite?

Christmas has always been my best holiday. Everybody is in a good mood; Christmas lights are pretty; I decorate the tree with my daughter; I like to buy presents for people; I eat treats without guilt. Thanksgiving used to be a front runner, memories of watching my uncle carve the turkey, flaming plum pudding and the beginning of the Christmas season. But now, my family has gone vegan, so no more turkey; no one sells the plum pudding brand I remember; the Christmas season begins in July! Halloween had too many ghouls for me, but I do enjoy passing out treats to the kids and seeing what customs they wear. If I was the type to dress up for Halloween parties, that holiday might be in the running. My daughter dresses up for Halloween parties and its fun watching her collect the components for her elaborate customs. Sometimes she has me make some of the props. Christmas may not always be in the running; I have learned to dislike snow and cold weather. To keep it on top, I may have to move to California.
