I know as much about emoji’s as I do social media. I was 43 when they first came out? Although I was a systems manager then, I thought it was cool to use the 🙂 to show I was happy, or thought something was funny, or I was trying to be funny, or somebody made me laugh, etc. I guess emoji’s are better because there are now a half dozen for each of those things I described. My kids thought my use of 🙂 made me a fossil. My daughter queued me into a set of emojis where I can use a likeness of me to express myself. My favorite? An image of me dressed like a pug. What it conveys? I don’t know, but I think it’s cool. 🙂
