Not Me

Are you superstitious?

Friday the 13th is just another day for me, except I don’t take any big risks that day or leave my house or use any sharp tools. I don’t speak ill of the dead because they might be watching. I never pick up a penny with tails up and I pray before the plane takes off. If a mirror breaks, it wasn’t me. It’s a good sign when I see a hawk in my tree and I feel a lot better since the Cub’s Billy Goat Curse was lifted. Other than that, I have no superstitions.

  1. Not for me, I received the most beautiful gift I’ve ever received on a Friday the 13th and that was my daughter and was lovely so I like all Friday the 13th but especially the one she was born on

    1. I had a boss who liked to do transactions on Friday the 13th. He said it was his lucky day.

  2. What’s interesting about the picking up of pennies is it used to be “See a pin and pick it up…” as in a sewing pin, because they were valuable. Then they became commonplace and it morphed into pennies because — money. Then it morphed into pennies with the heads up. I just found it kind of intriguing how that changed over the years.
